My Thoughts:
Three is the last installment of Kristen Simmon's Article 5 trilogy. This trilogy drove me to different expectations, feels, and reactions. Article 5 (first book) didn't reached my expectations, while Breaking Point (second book) exceeded it. It was crazy and I've been waiting the day I'll read the final book.
The first thing I noticed was the relationship between Ember Miller and Chase Jennings. Their relationship was just like any other couples have--with trials, misunderstandings, and making-up. What I like about theirs was the strong bond never breaks whatever happens--even if they're on the midst of a life and death situation.
While Breaking Point was action-packed, Three was more on revelations. There were action scenes, but not as much as BP had. Even though I wished for more of it, the revelations supported the [back] story of the entire trilogy. It gave more answers and depth. And when there are actions, the thrill was always there. Just as exciting as with BP's.
I've grown to love Article 5 trilogy after the second book, and closing Three goodbye was saddening. This book proved to me that my found love on this trilogy wasn't a waste. The sequence of events are exciting and I found myself once again absorbed, lost in their world. The ending was heartbreaking but also satisfying. I'm so glad I reached the end with a smile on my face. I'm happy that it Kristen wrote an ending the main characters deserve to have after all the chaotic events.
Article 5 debuted with a promise of an epic adventure, Breaking Point showed me the best, and Three was a wonderful book to end a trilogy. Thrilling yet heart-warming, this trilogy was a well-written story of a girl fighting for what she know and love, a story of friendship and family--where friendship wasn't so different with family. Wishing for more action scenes aside, there's nothing more I'd ask for from Three.

ReplyDeleteWhy? If you enjoyed Article 5 better than I did, you'll love the second book, Breaking Point. A5 was an okay book for me but BP wow-ed me. You should finish the entire series! :)
