To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?
My Answers:
What am I Currently Reading:
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and Withering Tights by Louise Rennison (Misadventures of Tallulah Casey #1)
A total opposite. ;)
What I Recently Finished Reading:
The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke (The Assassin's Curse #1)
My Rating: 4 stars
(Review will be posted here and to all my sites on Saturday.)
What Will I Read Next:
Entangled by Nikki Jefford (Spellbound #1) (eBook from author) and Twenty Boy Summer by SarahvOckler (paperback won giveaway from Book Stacks on Deck).
Both not required, but I will post a review.
*Last week, Entangled was also on my to-read-next list but I picked Withering Tights instead because the second book, Midsummer Tights Dream, is on the way on my doorstep! I won it from Epic Reads (along with Endlessly). ;)
Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, originally started by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that highlights upcoming book releases everyone is waiting on.
What am I waiting on?
Scent of Magic by Maria V. Snyder (Healer #2)
I loved the first book, Touch of Power and I can't wait for this one! Yay!
Expected publication: December 17, 2012
Summary (Goodreads):
Hunted, Killed - Survived?
As the last Healer in the Fifteen Realms, Avery of Kazan is in a unique position: in the minds of her friends and foes alike, she no longer exists. Despite her need to prevent the megalomanical King Tohon from winning control of the Realms, Avery is also determined to find her sister and repair their estrangement. And she must do it alone, as Kerrick, her partner and sole confident, returns to Alga to summon his country into battle.
Though she should be in hiding, Avery will do whatever she can to support Tohon’s opponents. Including infiltrating a holy army, evading magic sniffers, teaching forest skills to soldiers and figuring out how to stop Tohon’s most horrible creations yet; an army of the walking dead - human and animal alike and nearly impossible to defeat.
War is coming and Avery is alone. Unless she figures out how to do the impossible ... again.

ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of The Night Circus so far? It has been heavily advertised, but I haven't ventured to pick up a copy yet.
ReplyDeleteI'm at the half of the book and so far I liked it. There's a lot of magic and mysteries and I think there will be more once I reached part III. I'm on my way there!
DeleteIf you need some more..encouragements, perhaps you could check out my review after I read it. :) I think I'll be posting it after a week or two.
Great picks : )
ReplyDeleteMy WOW and international giveaway!
Withering Tights? Is that a sexed-up reboot of Wuthering Heights?
ReplyDeleteHere's my WWW Wednesdays Post.
LOL. It's not. It's a..what should I call it?
DeleteWell, the book's a comedy for early teens. It's nothing like sexed-up reboot of WH.
"Touch of Power" was pretty good. I'll be putting "Scent of Magic" on my TBR list too. Good pick!
ReplyDeleteThe Night Circus is on my very soon-to-be-read list!!!

In terms of the title, yes. But after reading the blurb, I think it's rather both heartbreaking and beautiful.
DeleteGreat pick! I haven't heard of this series yet but it sounds good. Will have to look for into it.
