WWW Wednesdays (32) / Waiting on Wednesday (33): Unhinged

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

Last week was an almost-no reading progress. That's why this week, I'm back with the same books. Except I started reading a new book.

Currently Reading:

The Beautiful and the Cursed by Page Morgan and Reboot by Amy Tintera (this book hooked me instantly!)

Finished Reading: None yet! >.<

Read Next:
Transparent by Natalie Whipple

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, originally started by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that highlights upcoming book releases everyone is waiting on.

Unhinged
(Splintered #2)
by A.G Howard

Expected publication: January 2014 by Amulet

Blurb (A&C Kids UK FB page):
"I focus on the chaos around us. This is the worst I've ever seen Wonderland look. Deep purple clouds scud across the sky like fat gauzy spiders, leaving dark trails as if spinning webs in the air. The mud beneath my shoes groans and sputters. Brown bubbles pop and rise into the air. If I didn't know better, I'd swear something was breathing under there.

Even the wind has found a voice, loud and melancholy, whistling though the flower-zombie forest that once stood as proud as elms. The flowers used to greet me with snarky attitudes and snooty conversation. Now, each and every one cowers, bent at the stems, their wilted arms hiding petals that are studded with hundreds of shuttered eyes.

The multi-eyed neatherlings have lost their fight...their soul.

Morpheus slides his hands into a pair of slick, red gloves. "If you think this is tragic, you should see what's happening in the heart of Wonderland."

Seeing this book was a complete surprise. I thought Splintered was a standalone but who cares? I loved Splintered and I'll be waiting for this one no matter what. I just hope this would be as awesome as the first one. It kind of scared me a bit, to be honest. But eeeep! Can't wait! :D

  10. Ahhh! I haven't read Splintered yet (but I really want to). I might wait a little bit longer now, just because I'm 95% sure I'll love Splintered, and that way I won't have to wait as long for the sequel. And ohmigoodnessthatcover! Love it!
