TGIF at GReads #3 / Feature & Follow #3

Hosted by Greads.

Q: Unexpected Books: Which books did you have reservations about reading, but ended up loving once you did?

A: That's a pretty easy question. These are the books I never set my expectations high. Never even thought of anything and just read it (and sometimes, I did second, third thoughts). And what happened? I never prepared myself from being blown away.

The Hunger Games and Divergent trilogy are just E-P-I-C. I never thought I'd read and love those kind of books. When I say kind, I meant: action-packed. With guns, bombs, bow and arrow, knives, poisons, etc. Because I've always been the fairytale geek reader. And now, I love these kind of books. ;) Also I judged them by cover but after (even currently) reading it, I totally loved it and landed on my Faves shelf.

In my case in Anna and The French Kiss, I just picked it because of the blurb. It's interesting and I thought, it might be a good read. I never expected anything. But it gave me love. I loved  it.

Read my reviews for Divergent, Insurgent, Cinder, Angelfall and Anna and The French Kiss. I'll be posting my review for THG trilogy soon. I'll do that. ;)

Q: What would you do over if you were to start your blog again from scratch?

A: I am certainly not sure about that. But maybe the layout and template? I've got no problems on some things. Well, except for being clueless in blogging but starting one anyway. LOL

How's your Friday?

TGIF at GReads #2 / Feature & Follow #2

Hosted by GReads.

This Friday's Question:

Book Olympics: In the spirit of the Olympics, which books would you give the gold, silver, and bronze medals to? It can be from any genre, new or old.

A:

To narrow down my choices, I'm going to pick books from what I read this year.

I started Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games #2) at New Year's day and finished two days after. I loved The Hunger Games and  loved Catching Fire, as well!
Cinder by Marissa Meyer (Lunar Chronicles #1) is another new fave of mine. This year or every year of my entire reading bookworm life.
I also finished Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles the year before and started Rules of Attraction (Perfect Chemistry #2) on January--which I totally loved as well.

These are just some of the books I loved this year. I won't even put them in order because I love every one of them. They simply had the different kind of attack and spot in my heart. :)

One day I'll post my reviews of these books I love but for now, enjoy my review of Cinder.

Go hop to other blogs here.

Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?

A: Not really. But I do pick a book on what mood I want to have. For example, when something's bad about my day, I'd pick a light, hilarious contemporary. Or if I'm up to intense action or magical fantasy or awesome sci-fi-ness. I do not read based on what I felt. I read to change what I'm feeling. ;)

Happy Friday, everyone! Have a great weekend! X

TGIF at GReads #1

Hosted by GReads

This Friday's Question:

Christmas in July: If Santa were to come down your chimney in the middle of summer, which books would you want him to leave for you under the tree?

A:

Wow. I'd be LUCKY to have Santa if that's the case coz my wishlist is looonger than my TBR.
Checkin' out my wishlist I'd love to receive these books from Santa:

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda
Five Flavors of Dumb by Antony John
Enchanted by Alethea Kontis
Starters by Lissa Price
Bewitching by Alex Flinn
Emily The Strange (series) by Ron Reger
The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa
Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
The Selection by Kiera Cass
Pushing The Limits by Katie McGarry
The Forsaken by Lissa M. Stasse
Shatter Me by Tahere Mafi
Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

Long, huh? That's not the complete list!
But topping my list right now are Scarlet by Marissa Meyer (Lunar Chronicles #2) and the untitled third book of Divergent trilogy!

So, Santa, I wish you're real. Sigh.

Happy Friday, everyone!
