WWW Wednesdays (68) / Waiting on Wednesday (68): I Was Here

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?

• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

The last book I read (The Vanishing Season; see below) was heartbreaking and then I started reading Fan Art by Sarah Tregay last night but I never knew it was LGBT until I started reading so I was disappointed because I'm quite excited with that one (not against the genre, it's just that it's not my thing) so I head over my sched and happily start re-reading Anna and the French Kiss by one of my fave YA contemporary authors--which I met on Sunday, FYI!--Stephanie Perkins and eager to reminisce all the things that I loved about this book and make these disappointments go away.

Finished Reading:
The Vanishing Season by Jodi Lynn Anderson (review here).

Read Next:

After Anna, I'm also re-reading Lola and the Boy Next Door. I'm planning to write a new review as well because my review (wayyy back when I first started this blog) was so unhelpful and looks funny. So you know... :P

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, originally started by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that highlights upcoming book releases everyone is waiting on.

I Was Here
by Gayle Forman

Expected publication: January 27th 2015 by Viking Juvenile

Blurb (Goodreads):
Cody and Meg were inseparable.
Two peas in a pod.
Until . . . they weren’t anymore.

When her best friend Meg drinks a bottle of industrial-strength cleaner alone in a motel room, Cody is understandably shocked and devastated. She and Meg shared everything—so how was there no warning? But when Cody travels to Meg’s college town to pack up the belongings left behind, she discovers that there’s a lot that Meg never told her. About her old roommates, the sort of people Cody never would have met in her dead-end small town in Washington. About Ben McAllister, the boy with a guitar and a sneer, who broke Meg’s heart. And about an encrypted computer file that Cody can’t open—until she does, and suddenly everything Cody thought she knew about her best friend’s death gets thrown into question.

I Was Here is Gayle Forman at her finest, a taut, emotional, and ultimately redemptive story about redefining the meaning of family and finding a way to move forward even in the face of unspeakable loss.

Well it's from Gayle Forman and reading the blurb up there and hearing her describe it on an interview last January when she visited Manila, I certainly cannot wait to get my hands on Gayle Forman's next masterpiece and feel all the feels.

  10. I really hate to admit this, but, I've yet to read a Gayle Foreman book, despite hearing such good things about her writing. I really need to rectify that, because they all sound like they are right up my alley.

Thanks so much for stopping by YA Book Addict. Have a great week!! :)
